ABOUT THE COURSE

Increasingly, companies in the fashion industry need qualified people to work in the creative, operational, commercial and administrative areas that have entrepreneurial and proactive behavior, applicable to the dynamic reality of the companies in the segment.

The Technological Course in COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT (FASHION) of the University Santa Cecília (UNISANTA) aims to professionalize people who can contribute to the insertion of Brazilian Fashion in the world scenario of competitiveness generated by the internationalization of the economy.

Among the areas of this important sector are clothing and retail, fashion products and services, industrial production of clothing, accessories, clothing, fabrics, stamping and embroidery, production planning and control, distribution, marketing analysis, management strategies, communication Business, among many others.

Throughout the course, the student is encouraged to develop the existing possibilities in each of the areas presented, through the disciplines taught, in a clear and practical, by the renowned faculty.

Regional Fashion Market
Currently, Baixada Santista has about 300 confectionary companies and about 3000 retailers, most of them micro or small enterprise. Among the strongest segments in the region are fitness, beachwear, surfing and professional clothing.

Course Activities
Through the combination of all the knowledge acquired during the 4 (four) semesters, two projects are developed that analyze and create innovations in Fashion. The results are presented in parades conducted by the University or by major partners, such as Pátio Iporanga Shopping.

The projects are also analyzed from the perspective of Scientific Initiation and are presented at congresses or exhibitions, among them the permanent exhibition of the Memorial of Conquests of Santos Football Club.

Trend talks and Professional Panels with big names in Brazilian fashion are often objects of study for students.

One of the last partnerships signed was with the Clodovil Hernandes Institute, created after the death of the stylist, to gather articles and pieces of his vast creation.

Social and Environmental Activities
Several agreements for courses in sewing, modeling, costume jewelery and clothing with recyclable materials and entrepreneurship, for needy communities.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

The evaluations of the students are based on the skills and abilities necessary for the professional exercise, being defined in the Pedagogical Project of each Course of Graduation or Technology, following the Curricular Guidelines and the General Regiment of UNISANTA.

The evaluation of the school performance is done by discipline, according to the curricular activities developed, covering the aspects of frequency and grade.

It is considered approved in each discipline the student who has attended at least 75% of the academic work expected and obtained arithmetic mean equal to or greater than 5 (five) between the grade resulting from the partial evaluations and the final exam.

The final evaluation is granted only to the student who obtains, in each discipline, arithmetic mean equal to or greater than 3 (three), resulting from the partial evaluations.

The student who, in the course under study, has met the minimum frequency requirement and obtained an average of 7 (seven) or higher as a result of the partial assessments is waived from the final exam.
