ABOUT THE COURSE
The Faculty of Law of UNISANTA received from the Ministry of Education the maximum grade 5 (on a scale of 0 to 5) for the Renewal of Course Recognition in July 2015. The evaluators praised the Didactic-Pedagogical Organization, the Faculty and Infrastructure.
The Ministry of Education report mentioned experiences considered innovative, the faculty with a high number of masters and doctors members of legal career in various areas of the Judiciary, and contribution in the intellectual and scientific area.
The pioneering spirit of providing excellent learning opportunities for students is one of the hallmarks of the course. As an example, the Special Civil Court - UNISANTA Annex/Concais Advanced Unit, inaugurated in 2013, in the port of Santos, in partnership with the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo, stands out. It was the first of its kind in the country in the port terminal and probably in the world.
In the Court of Justice in the Concais Terminal, as well as in the Court of Appeal that works alongside the University Campus, students attend to the population free of charge, guided by professors and judges. At the Office of Judicial Assistance, students from the last four semesters, assisted by university professors and lawyers, help to guide the actions brought by the population. This service is free.
Some Simulated Jury classes take place at the São Paulo Court of Justice, with the participation of Chief Judge Ivan Sartori, who is also professor of the Course. This is another fact that attests to the quality of the UNISANTA Law Course.
The Legal Practice Center prepares students for entry into professional life.

Some differentials in the UNISANTA Law course:
-Optional half-yearly exam, simulated for the first phase of the OAB Exam.
-High approval rate in competitions for Judiciary (1st Region of the Santos Coast).
-Free access to the entire Virtual Library of Saraiva publishing company. Students can search books online, anywhere, anytime, and print a few pages. It is an unprecedented partnership in Baixada Santista.
-The Law Course of UNISANTA was one of the four in the country, out of a total of 89, and unique in the State of São Paulo, which obtained the seal of the OAB granting an opinion favorable to its creation.
-Promotes annually the Congress of Environmental Law, one of the few in the country, added to the Nucleus of Environmental Law. With the Study Group for the Judiciary, annually performs a simulated oral exam for the Judge.

COURSE FIELD
The student of Law graduates with the title of Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences, with broad future field of action. The graduate can act as a lawyer (after passing the OAB Exam), prosecutor, police delegate, court of law, as municipal, state and federal prosecutor (through public tenders). He is also able to work in legal advice and consultancy for public and private companies, as well as acting in the academic field, as a university professor (with lato sensu post-graduation at least).

EVALUATION CRITERIA
The evaluations of the students are based on the skills and abilities necessary for the professional exercise, being defined in the Pedagogical Project of each Course of Graduation or Technology, following the Curricular Guidelines and the General Regiment of UNISANTA.
The evaluation of the school performance is done by discipline, according to the curricular activities developed, covering the aspects of frequency and grade.
It is considered approved in each discipline the student who has attended at least 75% of the academic work expected and obtained arithmetic mean equal to or greater than 5 (five) between the grade resulting from the partial evaluations and the final exam.
The final evaluation is granted only to the student who obtains, in each discipline, arithmetic mean equal to or greater than 3 (three), resulting from the partial evaluations.
The student who, in the course under study, has met the minimum frequency requirement and obtained an average of 7 (seven) or higher as a result of the partial assessments is waived from the final exam.
