The evaluation in UNISANTA has been, in recent years, a constant concern of its members, as a participatory effort to reflect, diagnose and propose referrals for the improvement of its institutional and pedagogical performance.
Considering this aspect and understanding the institutional evaluation as a participatory effort that aims to reflect, diagnose and propose referrals for the improvement of its institutional and pedagogical performance, as well as the improvement and clarification of its institutional project and its university conception management UNISANTA, in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, since 1999 has been carrying out several activities.
Thus, in that year, the Institutional Evaluation Core - NAI (approved by CEPE, homologated by CONSUN - Resolution No. 19/99 of 08/19/99) was created, with the purpose of reviewing and perfecting its academic project, through by the insertion of an Institutional Evaluation Project (PAI), mirrored in the principles, objectives, methodology and instruments indicated by the Basic Document - Evaluation of the Brazilian Universities / National Proposal and the INEP, constituting, in the University, a broad discussion forum and an efficient mobilization mechanism that involved all communication in the production of a refined knowledge and judgment of value, capable of signaling to a qualitative intervention in the work relations of the university routine, so that this represents the means of a lasting process between the institutional organization and the process of production and diffusion of knowledge, in a perspective of greater democratization of knowledge and culture.
The vision of the SINAES - System of Evaluation of Higher Education by the Ministry of Education inserted a new evaluation system in Higher Education Institutes, based on the need to promote the improvement of the quality of higher education, in the orientation of the expansion of its offer, in the permanent increase of its effectiveness institutional, in the academic and social effectiveness and in the deepening of their social commitments and responsibilities.
In view of that, UNISANTA, in compliance with the provisions of Law 10.881/04, established its own Evaluation Committee - CPA and registered it with INEP, which has the function of coordinating and articulating its internal evaluation process, giving continuity on the work initiated by the NAI.
Therefore, the objective of the Institutional Evaluation Project of UNISANTA is to carry out a verification of its performance within the Institution, with the purpose of reviewing and specifying its mission and academic and social purposes.
The Institutional Evaluation Project of UNISANTA, in accordance with SINAES guidelines, continues to preserve the ethical-political principles of the cecilian evaluative process, which are:
-respect for the person as an individual, citizen and member of the Institution, and as an integral part of the internal and external communities;
-respect for the diversity of thought, ensuring coexistence in diversity;
-commitment to the University's mission and objectives, privileging them to the detriment of individual or groups interests;
-search for scientific-technological and cultural innovation, in a creative, competent and critical manner, in regional, national and international contexts;
-constant search for institutional qualification, which always allows to innovate through human resources, programs, actions and organizational structure, not losing sight of its identity and regional and community character.
